These are most unusual patches made from the STINGRAY SKIN
The STINGRAY patches we are offering are made with tanned stingray hides in three types of finishes. Each variation of pattern will be labeled C, S or M appropriately.
The Caviar (C) finish -bumps or beads- is the natural appearance. The beads are actually calcium deposits or bones on the outside of the body that have had the barbs sanded smooth but not flat. They resemble a miniature cobblestone street.
The Shagreen (S) or Smooth finish is fully polished (50%) for a flat surface producing a mosaic appearance.
A Midway (M) finish, when polished about 20%, produces a surface somewhere between the Shagreen and the Caviar. This Midway surface can have the feel of orange peel. It is neither smooth nor heavily beaded.

This is a real fish skin with leather backing to hold its shape. There may be slight variations between patches but the photos are representative of the patch you will receive. There can be small scars and imperfections as a result of living in the wild. The accuracy of the color sample is not guaranteed as monitors and brightness vary.
